Buffering is when you put something between you, and a feeling you don't want to feel. The problem is that you can't see clearly at the problem you're trying to solve.
It's like, weeds in a garden preventing you from seeing that your tomatoes are drying out and need water. From the outside looking in, everything looks fine! Except, when you remove the weeds, the problem is super obvious.
