Breaking Age Barriers: How Black Women Navigate Discrimination in the Workplace
Manage episode 432816362 series 3567657
In this episode, we explore how age discrimination affects Black women at work. We discuss why some people think older women can't contribute, and why younger women aren't taken seriously. This issue hits especially hard for Black women, who often face unfair treatment at work because of their age. Sometimes, they're seen as too young to be taken seriously. Other times, people assume they're older than they are, which can also be frustrating.
We share real stories and give tips on how to show employers your skills no matter your age. So, whether you're young, old, or somewhere in between, age should never be the deciding factor in how much respect or opportunity you get. Everyone deserves a fair chance to show what they can do, no matter their age. Watch to learn how Black women can fight ageism and get the respect they deserve at work.
