Hey, my loves, I’m so excited to be here with you this week, because I got something a little radical for you. And maybe it might not seem terribly radical if you’ve been listening to the 220 plus episodes that we have for the Fearlessly Fertile podcast.

But I want to zero in on an element of this subject that I think kind of gets lost in the mix. And you know how I feel about decision. Decision is everything on this journey. Making a very clear decision about what you want, making a decision about how you want to be with your partner, decisions about, you know, what you want to invest in, decisions about what your next steps are.

There are a zillion and five decisions that we make on this journey, but there’s one that very often gets overlooked because it’s a pretty fucking scary decision. And that is the decision to be successful. So let’s talk about this because I came across a really cool quote that I wanted to share with you when I was thinking about this topic.

And it is by William Hutcheson Murray, a Scottish mountaineer. And it goes like this. Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, but the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.

A whole stream of events issue from the decision raising. In one’s favor, all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings, and material assistance, which no one could have dreamed would have come their way. See, it all starts with a decision, mama. When we decide that we’re going to be successful on this journey, the universe then starts to conspire in our favor, because a decision is not just A mere preference.

It is definitive. I have made the decision to be successful. Have you done that? Have you really done that on this journey? And look, it, you know, some people really value, you know, key. Well, I want to keep my options open, but here’s the thing. When you’ve decided to be successful, that doesn’t mean your options aren’t open.

It just means you’ve decided to be successful because you can make the decision to succeed on this journey and still be surrendered to the outcome. I don’t know how or I don’t know when this baby’s coming, but I know this baby is coming. There’s nothing unsurrendered about that. And when you really take this in, you can see the difference that making a decision to be successful on this journey can make.

Because if you’re like, well, I hope it happens. I mean, hope is not a strategy and hope is not enough. Same with positivity. You know, people think when you talk about mindset, you’re talking about being positive. No! When we’re talking about having a strong mindset, it means taking the lead in what you think and believe and thinking strategically.

I know what I want. I’ve made the decision to be successful, so what are the steps that are going to help me get there? Right? That’s really what we’re talking about here. So I really want to encourage you to kick around this idea of have you decided to be successful on this journey? If you go back and listen to the now 229.

And I want you to be successful. Like I’m guessing that if you’re listening to this podcast, you’re probably not fucking around about having a baby.

It’s going to help you move through the next pieces that I’m going to move you through. So on this worksheet, the first step to really getting to a place where you can decide to be successful. Cause like, You know, most of us were not taught that we can just decide to succeed. We were led to believe that there’s some force outside of us.

That’s going to be fucking with us. If we have the boldness to make a decision when it is quite frankly, the opposite, when you’ve decided to lean into this feeling in your heart, this knowing in your heart. This desire in your heart, it’s there because God universe source put it there. And it’s like, by the time we make the decision, God universe source, and you’ll see this in your own life.

It’s like, well, what the fuck were you waiting for? Right? I was ready the whole time. I had your back sister. Right? So anyway. With your worksheet, this is what we’re going to do. We’re going to walk you through this. So step one, I want you to write down on the worksheet what are the judgments that you have when it comes to deciding, deciding to be successful, deciding to be a fertility success story.

Because most of us were carrying around judgments, like who does she think she is? I can’t really do that. What’s gonna happen if I do that? Am I getting ahead of myself? Whatever it is, don’t judge it. But just put it down. What are your judgments? Don’t judge your judgments. Okay. Give yourself a chance to experience this.

Get to the bottom of it. Okay. Get to the bottom line. Number two, if you made the decision to succeed, what would be different? What would be different in your life? If you just flat out decided to be If you just flat out decided to be successful, what would be different? Think about that. What would be different if you just decided to be successful?

And number three, I’m inviting you to make a very bold declaration. And look, I get it. Some of you won’t be able to make this declaration. It might just be a bridge too far. And that’s totally fine. I’ve got no judgment on it. But here’s the thing. The longer that you continue to judge yourself for what you want, the longer you keep it at arm’s distance.

Okay? The more you judge yourself for just deciding, Hey, I’m gonna be successful here. Chances are, if you’re listening to this lovably type A, control freaky professional woman. And at some point you decided to get through university. You decided to get through medical school. You decided to get through law school.

You decided to get through your engineering program. Whatever the fuck it is, you made a decision. You don’t have a problem with that. Okay? So I would encourage you to think about what’s holding you back from making a decision here. What makes this different? Okay, it may seem like it’s out of our control, but we know if you’ve been listening to all the ladies that have appeared on this podcast, they made a decision, as I said before, and they have their babies.

So who’s jinxing shit? Okay, just in case you believe in the jinx, but in any event, give yourself permission. I, insert your name, have decided to be a fertility success story, okay? And when you’re, you’re done, just fill in your name, sign it, date it, put it somewhere where you can see it, and then list 10 things you love about having made that decision.

Simple. Simple, simple, simple. You know, when you can take this one simple concept. and utterly change the landscape of your fertility journey. Can’t say that mama doesn’t love you.
