Mr. Dworkin is currently the president and the Chief Operations Officer at Press Ganey and Managing Partner at PG Ventures, one of the market leaders for digital engagement solutions for providers, payers and life science companies. Before joining Press Ganey, he was the Chief Information Officer at Cedars-Sinai Health System while also leading CS ventures and the CS accelerator. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Darren held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Boston University Medical Center.
During our conversation, we talked about what companies should prepare and consider in order to improve their chance to have a successful interaction with the IT department and CIOs of hospitals. We also touched the venture side of health systems (and how it is changing in the current market), pro and cons for adding provider as a strategic investor and, as a topping on the cake, tried to understand what patient engagement and digital front door actually mean.
