Donna shares insights from her own decluttering journey and the ways she approaches clutter with those she works with.
About Donna
I grew up in suburban Chicago and now live in Maryland. I live alone in a four bedroom home with two flights of stairs. After 46 years as an educator I am retired and enjoying spending time with friends and grandchildren and hobbies. As a school librarian and media specialist my days were focused on helping students and teachers find books to read and resources for information. Organization was the key to success. At home clutter slowly accumulated. When my husband died I realized we both had been saving a lot of stuff and I was now responsible for all the things. I certainly don’t want to burden my daughter with my clutter so I started my decluttering journey with Sarah Mueller and Organize My Home. As a lifelong learner I discovered there were tried and true principles of decluttering that I could adopt and adapt to my own situation. I am seeing my home from a new perspective and loving how each newly decluttered area serves my needs.
