During our conversation, Jouni lets us in on various aspects of hunting in Finland including who is allowed to hunt, how to start hunting, methods of take, species pursued, and Finland's public perception of hunting. The conversation then turns to what got Jason seeking out Jouni, whitetail deer. They discuss how whitetail deer arrived in Finland, the current population numbers, how and when they are hunted, and issues the public and private businesses have with the current number.
