Jeff has served as Vice Chancellor since the school's founding in 2012, and has previously served as founding dean of the Peking University School of Transnational Law, dean of the University of Michigan Law School and the eleventh president of Cornell University. Jeff and I discuss NYU Shanghai's expansion and evolution over the past eight years, the unique nature of Sino-foreign universities, and the state of China's higher education and its relations with the U.S. and others.
