I knew from a young age that I wanted to start my own business. And at the age of 24, I did just that.
I’d learned the mechanics of running a business through my education. But what this couldn’t do was teach me the reality. It didn’t prepare me for everything we’re not told about running a business.
Realities such as:-
- The potential for burnout
- The potential to ruin your health
- Being disconnected from your family
- Feelings of loneliness
- Feeling like your business is controlling you and your life
- Feelings of overwhelm and not knowing how to make the changes you so desperately need.
I’ve felt all of that and more. I eventually made the decision to quit my business and commit to recreating my life.
I knew I would try again and start something new. But I didn’t know what that would be. However, I did know I couldn’t carry on as I was.
