Luke 24:13-35 recounts the story of two disciples traveling to Emmaus after Jesus’ crucifixion. Jesus joins them, but they don’t recognize Him. He explains the Scriptures concerning the Messiah. At dinner, their eyes are opened when He breaks bread, and they realize it’s Jesus before He vanishes.
