Galatians 5 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: 2 Peter 3 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. 14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless. 💥💥💥
In peace:
*I avoid seeing and hearing men wearing long robes. (expecting such to be Catholic priests, why would I want to see or hear them?) * I would avoid seeing any person carrying a poster. (likely protester) * I try to avoid strife, anger, fear ... (and I deal with such if I do feel this way by taking the matter to God as soon as I can asking God to heal me.) * I would avoid all electoral ads on TV for any politician, animal fund raising, children hospital fund raising, disaster fund raising ... (I feel the world deals with this and as the church I help the church. I often pray for animals and children.) 💥💥💥 Without spot: * When I go out into the world, and return home, I often pray: "Create in me a clean heart, Oh God, and renew in me a right Spirit." (Psalm 51:10) 💥💥💥 Blameless: * I would not want to take advantage of another person or merchant. * If I hear myself speaking in a scornful way about another person, I would know I have taken sin into my heart and I would ask God to forgive me and straighten me up. * I try to keep a "right" Spirit and speak and write to other when being in a right Spirit. If I'm upset I try to straighten the matter up with God and then speak or write.
