Don't you love a good story? I know I do. It's why we can get lost in a great book or movie for hours at a time - never once wanting to check our phones! And you know how addicted we are to our phones, right? The most successful companies know how to incorporate storytelling into their brand, so it connects deeply with their target audience. They know that telling a story that bonds with their customers will keep them loyal to their brand and also capture new customers that resonates with the narrative they are trying to convey. These companies spend millions upon millions of dollars to hire advertising firms who help them tell their story through advertising. That said, you don't need to hire a big name advertising firm (at least not yet :) to do the same for your business.

The business of storytelling has been around since companies realized that they needed to find a way to better differentiate themselves without slamming their competitors (basically what's happens in the political world called "mudslinging" - but that's a whole other topic!!) - because that's just not good business sense and doesn't actually convey why you're business is different.

In this digital day and age - your brand becomes your story and your story becomes your brand. If you're not able to clearly articulate your story through your content - unfortunately you will get lost in the shuffle of the thousands upon thousands of brands that have a business similar to yours. Just like you are unique - so is the story of your business. Maybe you created your business because you found a gap in your niche and decided to create what you felt was missing (your story - you found a way to create a product or service that fills that gap), maybe you found a better way to provide a service due to your experience working in that industry (your story - is the experience you had in that business and finding a different way for customers to have a better experience), maybe (like me) you created your business because of your story (our story - is how to thrive despite and because of our past and we show others how to do the same).

There are thousands of coaches out there and what differentiates my business from them, is my story. It's unique to me. It's unique to my journey. It's unique to my experience. It's unique to how I approach coaching. It's unique in how I get my clients results. My story about strength, resilience, empowerment and vulnerability is different than the next person and I convey that through my storytelling. Infusing my story in my business has been instrumental to my growth and expansion. It's provided my business with clarity and a vision of what the future looks like. I hope that you find I hope you find this episode helpful in your business and you either continue telling your story or that you start sharing your brand story with your audience

Do you know what your brand story is? Can you clearly and effectively convey it to your audience? At the end of this episode I share with you an opportunity to be part of a beta program I've created focused on Storytelling for your Business. If you're not sure how to clearly articulate your story into your business, I invite you to take part on my beta program starting in August 2019 - in this program, we dive into your story from beginning to (it's current) end and create a concise and succinct narrative to tie your story with your brand. I've chosen to keep this beta group small - to ensure that everyone involved receives ample time to fully immerse themselves into their brand story. So, if you are interested, please send me an email at cat@catcoley.com and we can start the selection process! Thanks for continuing to listen - I appreciate your love and support! xx - Cat
