In this edition of the Critical Decisions in Emergency Medicine podcast, Dr. Danya Khoujah and Dr. Wendy Chang discuss the July 2018 publication. The lessons included in this issue are “Compartment Syndrome in the Athlete” and “Emergency Department Observation for Patients with Atrial Fibrillation, Venous Thromboembolism, and Congestive Heart Failure”. First, Drs. Khoujah and Chang talk about Compartment Syndrome in the athlete. Compartment syndrome in the athlete is divided into two major categories: acute compartment syndrome (ACS) and chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS).
