Making Connections:
If you struggle to tell your own story here’s a quick tip that will help you sneak a bit of your own story into your scrapbooks. Make connections. Tell a current story and relate it to an older story. Make a connection between what is happening in the present with a story from the past. This is a great ‘cheat’ for telling stories that don’t have photos! Read more here
Me at 26 page:
This is the first page I really created all about myself. I wanted to try to share everything all on one page. I wanted a photo of myself that I actually liked. I wanted to share all about my current tastes in music, food, fashion and some more revealing tidbits of my life. I also wanted to celebrate some of my successes and adventures that I’d had so far. I also wanted it to be pretty! The result was the page: Me at 26
Alice's Take Away Tip
As scrapbookers we often tell everyone else's stories but don't scrap about ourselves. Our reasons may be that we don't like pictures of ourselves, or we are the ones behind the camera. Yet our reasons can become excuses. Your stories are important too!
Scrapbook YOU!
Scrapbook YOU! is a class designed to walk scrappers through the process of creating an album all about themselves, to help them discover the person missing from their scrapbooks.
There are 25 daily prompts to help scrappers create a 'highlight reel of their life'. A new prompt will be sent out each day via email, and will provide a theme to scrapbook. The class will cover childhood to adulthood.
There are alternate ideas provided for topics that may not fit perfectly into every person's life.
Scrappers will love the bonus information about how to create layout without photos or using 'bad' photos.
Students will continue to be able to access all class information after the class is complete.
