In today's episode, we are honored to host Julie Fehrenbacher, a faith-driven mother, friend, author, and leader. Julie's path to success has been marked by immense determination, unwavering faith, and a deep commitment to her purpose.
With a bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in chemistry, as well as a master's degree in family and consumer sciences, Julie established herself as a registered dietitian, foodservice director, and wellness coordinator for a public school district. Her dedication and innovation in this role earned her recognition as one of the Bloomington Pantagraph's "20 under 40" young leaders in her community.
However, Julie's journey took an unexpected turn when she became a mother to two sons. In a profound act of surrender, she sought divine guidance, asking the Lord to utilize her skills to shape the next chapter of her life. This pivotal moment propelled Julie into the realm of teaching and discipling students as a science teacher in Christian secondary education. She also made the decision to homeschool her own children, further deepening her commitment to their education and personal growth.
Alongside her teaching endeavors, Julie authored a book titled "The Path to Surrender," a testament to her transformative journey and the lessons she learned along the way. This heartfelt work encapsulates her faith-driven approach to life and serves as a source of inspiration for others seeking their own path of surrender and purpose.
Julie's unwavering dedication to her faith and her passion for people led her to undertake the School of Leadership in Dinner Church through Sioux Falls Seminary, an initiative of Fresh Expressions United States. This experience allowed her to merge her love for food, her devotion to the Lord, and her desire to make a positive impact on others, ultimately working towards advancing the kingdom of God here on earth.
