Good morning, weather watchers! This is your friendly neighborhood meteorologist coming to you with today's forecast for Columbus, Ohio.
Let's break down this chilly winter day! We're starting off with a picture-perfect sunny morning that'll max out around 31 degrees Fahrenheit. It's going to be a calm day with barely a whisper of wind, so bundle up but don't expect any drama from the atmosphere today.
Tonight, we're looking at mostly clear skies with temperatures dipping down to a crisp 23 degrees Fahrenheit. After midnight, a gentle south wind will start to peek out, rolling in at around 5 miles per hour.
Moving into Monday, things start to warm up a bit! We'll see partly sunny conditions with temperatures climbing to a more comfortable 43 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect some playful winds from the south ranging 6 to 11 miles per hour, with gusts that might reach up to 21 miles per hour.
Monday night brings a 50 percent chance of rain after 7 pm, with temperatures hovering around 37 degrees Fahrenheit. Tuesday continues the mild moisture trend with a slight chance of rain and temperatures near 44 degrees Fahrenheit.
Christmas Day looks like it might bring some precipitation too, with a 30 percent chance of rain before 1 pm and temperatures reaching a mild 47 degrees Fahrenheit.
As we move through the rest of the week, expect mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures gradually climbing. By Friday and Saturday, we're looking at highs near 53 and 57 degrees Fahrenheit respectively, with a good chance of some rainfall.
