Hello VAPA Community! This is Dr. Trimis with a few announcements. This is a regular week with Monday being a late-start-day, Per. 1 begins at 10 am.

We are now in our Zone of Choice Enrollment Drive. We have several recruitment events planned over the coming weeks concluding with our VAPA Zone of Choice Open House on October 28. Click for FLIER. Please get the word out about our wonderful school. Our goal for 2021-22 is 500 students.

Please note that students who are interested in playing a sport, should get a physical and complete online sports packets at www.athleticclearance.com. Please go to www.legacytigers.com for more info and contact e-mails for our coaches if you have sport-specific questions. Please turn in physicals to the VAPA office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. They are picked up every Friday. At this time, Fall sports are scheduled to resume with team conditioning in person, on campus, with maximum student capacity and all required precautions such as social distancing and mask-wearing. Players who do not have complete packets and approved physicals will not be allowed to participate in the sports program. Formal try-outs will be announced when they are allowed and scheduled. There are two seasons both starting games in January, should conditions improve and as permitted. More information at www.legacytigers.com and www.vapalegacy.com

Did you know we have a vibrant afterschool program funded by Beyond-the-Bell and ran by the Educare Foundation? Programs include daily tutoring, physical conditioning, short flags, showchoir, student Leadership, Drivers Ed, and more.Sign up by completing the Educare Form online. We have a new group to support our parents and families “Resilient Families” will run for 10 weeks and starting on October 29 at 10:30 am-12 pm, 5 weeks in the Fall and 5 weeks starting in January. Please see our website and social media for a flier with login info. Click for FLIER.
