The pandemic has exacerbated the incidences of abuse, stress and poverty on children as a rising number of parents are overwhelmed with the daunting task of caring and providing for their offspring. In many instances, abuse is disguised as affection and as child neglect is on the rise, survival is the key as the role of parents as providers often fails. Children are exposed to more R-rated movies with inappropriate content. The youth are also having to face the harsh realities of life even earlier. Statistics show that there is a rise in sexual violence, teenage pregnancy and disengagement amongst children and young adults. There is a sense of collective responsibility that is absent from parents and the wider community. We are revisiting our archives for a special episode of this year's Live Abundantly®️ International Children's Day event tagged Ring The Bell: Investing in Our Children.
