There seems to be no end around the problem of teenage pregnancy in the country. Alarming reports state that children as young as between10 and 14 are falling pregnant. The 2023/24 figures show that close to 4-thousand girls under the age of 20 gave birth in public hospitals with the Eastern Cape being one of the provinces with the highest numbers.
