In today's episode, we are extremely honored to be joined by Gillies MacKinnon, who is an award-winning Scottish filmmaker. In his first ever exclusive Young Indy interview, he reminisces about some of his most memorable behind-the-scenes stories from directing Ireland, 1916. During this casual and compelling conversation, he discusses why rhythm is the most important aspect of filmmaking, how he and Rick McCallum experimented with CGI while they were recreating historical battle scenes in Dublin, and how his first intimidating encounter with George Lucas led to a delightful reward.
