But a major key is consistent prospecting.
If no new people are visiting your store then you have no new people to serve.
Having a business is like a never-ending job hunt.
Once you have a business,
Once you have a good product you're selling,
Or service you do,
Or software people use,
You have to keep finding people to use it.
If you have a team delivering a service,
You have to find enough work to keep them busy.
If you have a product,
You have to get it used to solve the problem.
So a major component to success of most businesses is:
Constant never-ending prospecting.
Which is trying to identify:
Who is having our problem?
Who's interested in having us help them?
Problems are markets
Not demographics.
The newspaper industry learned this the hard way.
They lost track the problem they solve.
Keeping people informed.
They thought they were selling advertising spaces.
That's not the case.
This is the reason blogs outwit the newspapers.
They used blogs to inform.
Not only for advertising.
It was a superior way to solve the market problem.
Many forgot the problem they solved.
So a lot of newspapers vanished.
They should have stayed focused on the problem they solved for the target market.
They may have pivoted sooner, faster, and better with new technology.
To solve the problem better.
