If you've seen "The Last of Us" or pretty much any post-apocalyptic movie or TV show, you may be wondering how they're keeping those war rigs fueled up. Some of them have refineries making new gas or re-refining the old stuff, but in "The Last of Us" Joel is simply using the 20 year old stale gas to power up his truck, which he says is pretty much water, so they won't get much milage out of it.

But, there's a better way to get around in the aftermath of a global cataclysm, and thet's with an old mechanical diesel and that black gold, not from the gas tank, but from in the engine itself: motor oil.
