With 30 years of experience as a writer and editor at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Nick has become a distinguished figure in the local journalism scene. He has also made a significant impact in the political realm as of late, serving as a city commissioner of Plantation and being recently elected as the city's mayor in 2022.
Nick's dedication to his community doesn't stop there. As a passionate sports lover, he spent over three decades coaching basketball of all levels at American Heritage here in South Florida. About Nick Sortal:
Nick Sortal was a writer and editor at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper for 30 years. He met Mr. Rossen via their mutual love for basketball, and they were assistants on a team that won the state championship. He was elected to Plantation City Council in 2018 and mayor in 2022.
