In this episode we are discussing the recent results of Alphastar, the new deep learning algorithm from DeepBlue, playing Starcraft 2. The AI went 10-1 against 2 different pro gamers in Protoss vs Protoss matches. The discussion is not on the technical side unfortunately because we are not expert in deep learning in any way but more on the results. Is the AI really having better strategies or the micro and technical "skills" are mainly its advantage? Interesting discussion when mostly knowing the SC2 side of things, we hope to find someone that would come to speak with us about how the deep learning algorithm actually work.
