Dear Bellamy,
I am a writer/author and witchcraft enthusiast. While I appreciate the lifestyle of witchcraft, I do not, myself, practice. However, I have a vision of writing a YA fictional story about a young witchling. I wanted to “Ask a Witch” what your perspectives are on witches in literature and pop culture. Has Hollywood and book series portrayals helped or harmed the witchcraft community? Any insight will help guide my character development.
Join Bellamy Black as she interviews Ms. Chelsea Rene, Poet, Artist, and Teacher. This week, we delve into the fascinating world of witches in literature and pop culture! In this episode Bellamy and Chelsea “nerd out” discussing some of their favorite and most influential written works. Join us as we explore how witches have been depicted through the ages, from the chilling tales of the past to empowering modern portrayals. We discuss the impact these stories have had on society's perception of witchcraft and its evolution over time
Our special guest, Chelsea, shares her insights on the enduring influence of witchy characters and their symbolism in literature. We tackle listener questions about the role of witches in shaping cultural narratives and the significance of their representation in contemporary media.
