In today’s episode, I will explain to you the techniques and tips on how to do a customer research interview and/or a survey that will help you gather valuable insights for your business idea or discovery phase for a project so you carry out an effective conversation with your participants and get key data that you need to validate and or under and the problem space of whatever you are working on.

When conducting interviews, approach it like you're meeting someone for coffee. While it can often be intimidating to talk to people we barely know, we must treat them as someone we're eager to assist and from whom we're seeking assistance.

In the previous episodes, we covered different types of customer research and the components of a research plan. Now, we're diving into the practical application of conducting two of the most popular methods of research - interviews and surveys.

You are going to learn the comprehensive toolkit for conducting effective customer research so that you can gather a well-rounded view of your audience’s needs and preferences. You will also learn the important techniques for structuring interviews, such as building rapport, evoking stories, and asking open-ended questions.

Remember, every question is a bridge to understanding, and every response is a story waiting to be told.

You and I are going to break down the practical application of conducting interviews, and surveys. This episode will cover a lot of valuable topics such as selecting the right participants, crafting effective questions, prioritizing ethical responsibilities in conducting research, and some tips for smoother research implementation both across interview and surveys:

Together, let’s learn how we can apply these techniques with confidence and see how our understanding of our audience deepens.

This is going to be a lot of learning, are you ready for it? :)
