Today, a mother named Fatima shares her experience of birthing three children, whereby one of them, her daughter, was born still. Whilst this is understandably a sensitive and painful topic, Fatima speaks so gracefully about her beautiful, serene and intimate birth in which she met her baby girl and then bravely farewelled her.
This topic can trigger the pain of loss, particularly the loss of a child, and I ask that you listen with self-compassion and reach out for support if this has been your experience.
Fatima talks openly about the silence that happens after the baby is born, the truth that your body will still go into a physiological 'postpartum phase' after losing a baby, the need to give your body time to rest and recover and the emotional challenges that arise with this.
