-her background in medicine, physiology, and biology and how it fueled her passion to help more youth of color gain knowledge in these areas

-applying for grants and other forms of funding for her non-profit

- her experience as a member of the Open Access Fellowship which seeks to get more minorities in the world of community development finance

- the power of federal and state programs like LIHTC (Low income housing tax credits) and NMTC (new market tax credits) to revitalize communities and create more affordable housing
