Are you a parent or an educator trying to impact your students’ education positively? With the world going virtual, are there ways teachers, students, and parents can better connect to help the students perform?

With virtual platforms, teachers need to keep an open line of communication with parents, create a sense of community in the virtual classroom, understand where the student is at, and know the particular area where students need help. Kendrick Kumabe, M. Ed. also believes that teachers need to teach from a lens of compassion because it shows the students that the teachers are truly invested in them. Teachers also need to show students how they can work as a team and help each other pass because failure should not be an option.

In this episode of The Parents of High-Achieving Students Podcast, Tim Prunyi sits down with Kendrick Kumabe, M. Kendrick explains the strategies educators can use to engage parents and students more, the importance of teaching students from a lens of compassion, and the seven habits of happy kids.
