Welcome to Episode Number One of the OUTspoken Leaders Podcast. OUTspoken Leaders is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and empowering all LGBTQ+ Youth, Young Adults, and Future Leaders. We currently offer Weekly Discussion and support groups in the Chicagoland Suburbs, Online resources for members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as their friends and familes, and now we offer this podcast to bring the stories of Leaders and other influential members of the LGBTQ+ community!
Today we got the opportunity to speak with the co-founder of The Trevor Project, co-founder of The Future Perfect Project, author, performer, and QUEEN James Lecesne. James Shares his early story and coming out story as well as how he found the inspiration for "Trevor" a stage show that later turned into a short film which then later turned into a book which all inspired the creation of The Trevor Project. Then we chat about how he and Ryan Amador teamed up to create The Future Perfect Project, all along the way discussing his love for the LGBTQ+ community and his passion to help all youth and young adults.
