Yes, we’re proud of doing fairly well this year, only a few percentage points behind some of our favorite pundits and forecasters. But could we’ve done better? Of course. What’s important though, is the conversation, and my god, did we ever have a conversation here. One Mike leans heavily on the precursor resumes for each potential nominee. So this episode should actually be useful to you and play beyond its typical nomination expiration date. Meanwhile, the other Mike enjoys a variety of strategies including some deep dives into Oscars history, references to Vegas, and his mind is certainly much more open to all the scuttlebutt we’ve been hearing for months. One might even say, he’s put on a tinfoil hat or two. But regardless of who’s making the picks, we cannot help but succumb to the powers of many an Oscars narrative and certainly, to our own movie reviews. This is perhaps the most researched show of the year, it’s probably our most thorough, and it’s certainly one of our absolute favorites to record.
