I don't know if I intended on going to law school, more so that I saw that law school opened up opportunities that no other secondary degree could. I was always good at math and science, and my dad being an engineer, naturally the only logical choice was to go the opposite route to law school. I was fortunate to spend time with influential people in my life during undergrad at UC Irvine, probably the most impactful was my co-founder for all of our companies Curt Brown. I saw him talking about law school, and I saw law school as a way to not only be a traditional practitioner, but to do almost anything. You saw folks from NBA commissioners to entrepreneurs all being lawyers, so I figured it was a good path to pursue.
We're seeing a tremendous need for solos and small firms to stick together to better service the totality of their clients' needs, and Overture is that conduit that makes it all possible.
