Welcome to our Premier Episode of the LIVE POETRY MUSIC JAM Podcast! These podcasts have been recorded live at the legendary, bohemian, and unconventional performance venue MERCURY CAFE. MercuryCafe.com

This 1st Episode consists of Pt. 1 & Pt. 2 is Hosted by PoetSeth, created as a Special Tribute to MARILYN MEGENITY, Founder of the Mercury Cafe, featuring the Founding Poets of the 22-year running Sunday night poetry events: JAM B4 THE SLAM and the POETRY SLAM - including PoetSeth, Roseanna Frechette, and Ted Vaca.

They are also joined by Changa Hernandez, Elijah Lynch, Emily Weichec, Q, Raelee Combes, Mir-I-Am, Michelle, and Marilyn Magenity - who are only a few of the many Denver-based Spoken-Word Artists and Musicians who powerfully represent the vast creative, artistic poetry, and music communities of Denver-Boulder and greater Colorado. The music is created by the Art Compost & The Word Mechanics Band, an improvisational group which includes countless Denver musicians and guests who have sat in on the Jam B4 The Slam poetry and music jam sessions over the years. This podcast episode includes PoetSeth, percussion; Jochanaan, woodwinds; Ivan Huber, guitar; Felix Garrette, drums; Diego Flores, bass; and Henry Sherman, keyboards.

Each podcast episode features a changing cast from the JAM B4 THE SLAM, POETRY SLAM, LIGHTHOUSE WRITERS POETRY COLLECTIVE, and many other local Colorado poetry groups, with podcast performances to date by more than 50 local artists performing on these live poetry, spoken word and musically improvised jam podcast sessions.
