This week, in what might be the funniest episode yet, Molly and Emese are joined by co-stars Amy Schumer and Brianne Howey. They get candid about motherhood, career evolution, and their new film, Kinda Pregnant —which unexpectedly led to Amy’s latest health discovery. Amy opens up about how public criticism led her to uncover her Cushing syndrome diagnosis, what it’s like to navigate comedy and Hollywood as a mom, and the importance of sharing birth stories without shame. Brianne shares how becoming a mother has shifted her perspective on work, how Ginny & Georgia ’s Georgia Miller compares to real-life parenting, and the power of female friendships in the industry. We also go behind the scenes of their new Netflix film, Kinda Pregnant —how Molly first got the script, why Amy and Brianne were drawn to the project, and what it means for women today. Plus, they reflect on their early career struggles, the moment they knew they “made it,” and how motherhood has reshaped their ambitions. From career highs to personal challenges, this episode is raw, funny, and packed with insights. So I have this friend... you know, there’s this African tradition where, when you visit your in-laws, you’re supposed to show generosity—give them money, buy gifts. You know, make a good impression. It’s like your in-law’s version of a subscription fee.
I used to work with this programmer, right? And let me tell you, this guy was a whole vibe. He wasn’t the type to complain out loud or start drama in the office. No, no, he had his own special way of expressing his frustration—through code comments. (Long Pause) Yeah, he didn’t argue in meetings, didn’t send passive-aggressive emails. He just poured his soul into the comment section of the code!…
So, I had this crazy dream last night, right? It started with me stepping onto this massive soccer field—like, think World Cup final vibes. And I’m not just playing soccer; I’m dominating . I’m scoring goals left and right like I’m some kind of soccer prodigy. It was so real, I could almost hear the crowd cheering me on. I mean, I’m talking about five goals in a row! The first one, I kicked it from way outside the box, and it curved in like a movie scene. Goal number two was a header—I don’t even know how I pulled that off. I could feel the power in my legs with every kick, like I was Messi or something. By the time I scored goal number five, I was thinking, “This is it. I’m gonna get signed by a pro team, maybe even start my own brand of cleats!” But then… I woke up. And I’m lying in bed, all sweaty and out of breath, and I think to myself, “Did I just have the best soccer game of my life?” Then, as my eyes start to adjust, I look around the room... and that’s when it hit me. I had been kicking something during my dream... but it wasn’t a soccer ball. Nope. It was my TV! I had been scoring goals on my TV! I wasn’t even on a soccer field anymore. I had somehow managed to turn my living room into a chaotic soccer match—just me, a ball, and a poor, defenseless TV taking every hit. The poor thing didn’t stand a chance! By the time I snapped out of my dream, my TV had taken the full brunt of my ‘superstar’ kicks. And I’m not talking about a little tap—no, this was a full-on demolition. The screen? Cracked. The sound? Fizzing out like a broken radio. I could practically hear the TV saying, “Not like this. Not like this.” So now, instead of waking up to a bright future as a soccer legend, I’m left with a broken TV and a confused sense of pride. And the worst part? I can’t even claim I was the MVP of this match—my TV might be the only one with an actual injury report. It’s now officially on ‘retirement’ status, probably somewhere in the electronics graveyard. And guess what? Now, not only do I need to find a new team (because let’s be honest, I’m not going pro with that level of play), but I also need to buy a new TV. My dreams are clearly more destructive than I thought. The worst part? I might have been the best soccer player in my dreams, but in real life, I’m just the guy who needs a replacement screen... and maybe a lesson in ‘dream boundaries’ before I end up scoring on the fridge next time!…
