Taylor Swift named 2023 most-streamed global artist on Spotify

Taylor Swift has been announced as the most-streamed global artist on Spotify this year.
The streaming platform has unveiled its 2023 Wrapped campaign, announcing that the pop star has secured the top spot in the most-streamed global artists category.
The Anti-Hero hitmaker has surpassed 26.1 billion streams worldwide since the beginning of the year.
"Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you," Taylor wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. "Getting named Spotify's Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could've given me."
To thank her fans for their continuous support, Taylor has released her track You're Losing Me (From The Vault) on all streaming platforms, including Spotify.
"We've seriously had THE MOST fun this year out there on tour and now this. Are you serious," Taylor continued. "So I was trying to think of a way to thank you, and a lot of you have been asking me to put You're Losing Me (From The Vault) on streaming... so here you go! You can finally listen EVERYWHERE now."
You're Losing Me first appeared as a CD-exclusive bonus track on a special edition of her 2022 album Midnights.
Taylor has knocked Bad Bunny off his throne, as he held the title of the most-streamed global artist on Spotify for the past three years. The Puerto Rican rapper is now the second most-streamed global artist, followed by The Weeknd and Drake.
Miley Cyrus's hit song Flowers achieved the title of the most-streamed song of the year with 1.6 billion listens.
Flowers was followed by SZA's Kill Bill and Harry Styles' As It Was. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny's album Un Verano Sin Ti was named Spotify's most-streamed album, ahead of Taylor's Midnights and SZA's SOS.
