In this important episode, hosts Jamie Lowell and Rick Thompson talk to Michael Thue about his recent Court of Appeals case victory. In Thue vs Michigan the right of medical cannabis patients to have and use their medicine while on parole or probation was affirmed, overturning court policies and past practices. This victory comes after Mr. Thue had been released from his court-imposed sentence. He chose to fight to set a precedent for the entire state. His legal team was Komorn Law.
Brandy Zink appears on the show, from the newly-revised Michigan chapter of Americans for Safe Access (ASA). Jamie Lowell is another principal in the new chapter of the national patients rights organization.
Canna Dave and Groovee from the Mi Canna Cast podcast join the broadcast to talk about their show, as does Berg from Medical Mondays. Jazz Cabbage regulars Debra Young, Shelly Smith, Colin MacDougall and Jim Salame round out the on-air podcasting team.
