Episode 120a - How do we Learn
Manage episode 326927364 series 1307518
- Learning new things
- Certification
- Sog, on twitter,
- Dive in and drink from the firehose and leverage the hyper-focusing ADHD ability to further accelerate learning. I learned Powershell, Go, and Rust in the last year-ish, in addition to a lot of pentesting-specific stuff. If you want it bad enough, you'll get it done.
- The Mentor
- the way I learn new technology is by setting it up in my homelab messing around with it and messing it up and building it up so many times until I fully get it
- Name_pending197
- This is the way. I do the same, build it, document it, break it, repeat. I also find that learning and then presenting new technology to the rest of the team is an excellent way to retain knowledge. Explaining and demonstrating something to others is one of the best ways to understand it yourself. Especially if you know you will be questioned on it
- Home labs
- Trial by fire
- Training
- Reading
- What else?
- What do our listeners think?
- Kubernetes Zero to Hero:
- Kubernetes by Example:
