Synopsis:

For most warriors on the world of Awa, fighting the Nekros is about survival and honor, for Mathias it’s about revenge. Six years ago, the demon was responsible for the death of his father. Now the demon has returned wreaking more havoc than ever. As Mathias embarks on this journey, he discovers the hidden link between the gods they worship and these Nekros that have killed so many. Wading through webs of lies and misguided motivations, Mathias must figure out who he can trust in his journey to defeat the beast.

D.C. Burton

Born in Columbia, Maryland and now based in Durham, North Carolina, D.C. Burton is the author and creator of the forthcoming Nekros series. D.C. has been writing sci-fi and fantasy stories for over 3 years and is now stepping into the world of indie comics. Under the Soapbox Creative publishing company, D.C. focuses on genre-based limited-series comics, but you will also find him writing for other indie comics coming later this year.

Soapbox Creative is an independent publishing company founded in 2020. Our mission is to advance literary comics from underrepresented voices through genre-based, limited series comics and graphic novels.

Genre-Based: While we love superhero comics, that it not our area. From fantasy to horror to sci-fi and any other types of speculative fiction our stories provide an immersive experience outside of the superhero realm.

Limited Series: All great things must come to an end. At least that is our belief. None of the properties we publish will be ongoing series. Each creator has a distinct and specific story they will tell during their run with Soapbox Creative, but that is not to say that creators aren’t free to continue their stories after working with us.

We our obsessed with providing high-quality, captivating stories for our readers. You are the reason we exist and what drives us to continue forward.
