We are here at eTail Palm Springs and seeing and hearing the latest and greatest in e-commerce and retail. Question: Do you need to choose between AI and human recommendations as a customer? Why not have both? After all, don’t each have their strengths? AI in the retail experience is all the rage these days, but today I’m talking with someone from a brand that has been incorporating AI-personalized experiences and shopping combined with expert human recommendations for over 14 years, and continues to innovate today. Today we’re going to talk about how AI-based personalization plus human creativity and input makes an amazing customer experience at Stitch Fix. To help me discuss this topic, I’d like to welcome Noah Zamansky, Vice President of Product and Client Experience at Stitch Fix. About Noah Zamansky Noah Zamansky serves as the Vice President of Product and Client Experience at Stitch Fix, where he leads cross-functional teams spanning Product, Design, Engineering, Algorithms, and Platform Development. A seasoned leader, Noah has a proven track record of shaping product vision and strategy, designing exceptional user experiences, and spearheading the launch of new business ventures. Before joining Stitch Fix, Noah held the role of Senior Director of Product Management at eBay, overseeing Fashion and Vertical Experiences. ×Welcome to Glass Letters. Riz makes a decision, and then a different decision. Calls are answered, and the past is brought painfully forward. Is the easy choice the right one? Or do only the difficult paths lead towards the future? Maybe the choices we make aren't set in stone after all. Content warnings: isolation, aquaphobia, discussion of unsafe home environments/familial abuse, mention of drowning, transphobia, deadnaming. Transcripts can be found at https://commonunity.media/transcripts/ - Additional sound effects this week by Cabeeno Rossley, giddster, and FunWithSound. Glass Letters is a podcast written, recorded, and produced by Anna Godfrey. Our intro and outro music are by Slow Haste, who you can find on music streaming services and on Instagram @slowhaste. Additional music is by Kevin MacLeod. If you like this podcast and want to support what we’re doing, consider rating and reviewing the show on iTunes or on Podchaser, it honestly helps a lot. Find us on Twitter and Instagram, both @glassletterspod. Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the 2020 AudioVerse Awards!! It's incredibly humbling to be a finalist for an award, especially when Glass Letters is almost entirely created by one person with next to no experience in audio fiction podcasting! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has listened and supported the show along the way. <3 If you're looking for more to listen to, consider following our other podcast, Bad!!! A Show of Cursed Concepts, which can be found on Twitter @badcursed, and on most streaming platforms. Glass Letters is now a part of Common Unity Media! Welcome to Glass Letters. Riz questions their choices and wonders if a different path might be wise. Does the mist of time truly obscure what lies in the future? Or is this fog of our own making? Perhaps we need to take the plunge. Content warnings: isolation, aquaphobia, abandonment, derealization, despair, unsafe home environments Transcripts can be found at https://commonunity.media/transcripts/ - Additional sound effects this week by Cabeeno Rossley. Welcome to Glass Letters. Riz starts to think that the letters are being sent on purpose. Is the universe trying to send them a message, or do buried stories work themselves free regardless? Maybe stories need air to breathe. Welcome to Glass Letters. With "hints of melancholy and wonder", Glass Letters is a "half-remembered dream" that tells the tale of a lonely island dweller receiving strange messages in a bottle. Are they merely coincidence? Or is the universe sending our protagonist a message? Glass Letters is a podcast written, recorded, and produced by Anna Godfrey. Our intro and outro music are by Slow Haste, who you can find on music streaming services and on Instagram @slowhaste. Additional music is by Kevin MacLeod. Welcome to Glass Letters. Today Riz receives a letter that invites self reflection. Does our inner child ever grow up? Or do we wish our lives away until our dreams come true? Perhaps the chimes on the wind sound like a long buried memory. Welcome to Glass Letters. Riz receives a letter that is slightly more troubling than the others. What are the consequences of keeping stories for oneself? Is there more than one lonely island that deserves to have its story told? Perhaps paradise isn't what it seems. Content Warnings: isolation, extreme survival situations, mention of death/suicide, aquaphobia Transcripts can be found at https://commonunity.media/transcripts/ Glass Letters is a podcast written, recorded, and produced by Anna Godfrey. Welcome to Glass Letters. As our story continues, Riz receives letters that are a little more... unorthodox. Perhaps some history can be gleaned from a more poetic worldview. And maybe glass bottles belong on tree branches. Content Warnings: isolation, second person POV, mentions of bones/decaying remains, aquaphobia Transcripts can be found at https://commonunity.media/transcripts/ Glass Letters is a podcast written, recorded, and produced by Anna Godfrey. Welcome to Glass Letters. At the beginning of our story, we find our narrator Riz sequestered alone on an island, receiving mysterious letters in bottles. Is this a sign, or merely coincidence? Perhaps the story soon to be revealed can enlighten us.
