About the Artographer: Mitch Schlimer
The award winning and published artist Mitch Schlimer was born in May of 1956 and from an early age he saw things differently, especially when his father put a Polaroid "instant" camera in his hands at the age of five. Mitch's gift and vision were evident as others saw and felt that he was able to capture truly "One in a Million Moments," which he loved to share since he was able to observe the special response that came from his keen eye and love for photography even then.
In the last 47 years, Mitch has been on a journey driven by a singular goal, one that is to leave this world a little better off and live a purposeful life, making a difference in others' lives and leaving a legacy that will help others "Live Their Dreams" as Mitch also believes that "Everything is Possible Through Artography".
Throughout Mitch Schlimer's unique journey, he has been both an athlete and a Tennis Professional. He operated the "Mitch Schlimer Tennis Centers" in Roslyn, NY and Houston, TX. Mitch invented the "two tone" tennis ball in his 20s, which is still available in a can of three today and is used by millions of tennis players and even the USTA (United States Tennis Association) in their next generation programs today. From there Mitch started, built and sold such companies as Impac International and Let's Talk Business Network (LTBN), and while running LTBN, Mitch hosted "Let's Talk Business" radio for 20 years, where he met, interviewed and became friends with some of the biggest entrepreneurs in history.
In 1999, Mitch was voted “one of the most influential radio show hosts in America” alongside Howard Stern, Don Imus, Larry King, among others. Mitch now brings this experience and talent to his podcast “Every Photo Has A Story”. Mitch followed his other passion, photography, throughout this time. Over the years, people said to Mitch, "your photos look like paintings" and hearing that enough, Mitch started referring to himself as an "Artographer" and his art as “Artography". His images have inspired people around the world to paint and buy them. However, Mitch has never taken it seriously, not as a business until now, when he launched "Mitch Schlimer Artography", where "Every Photo Has A Story" podcast serves as its voice. Through his wildlife artography and those "one in a million moments" that many marvel at and ask "how in the world did you get that Mitch?”.
Whenever Mitch told people the real story behind the image, people truly enjoyed the story and sometimes even more than the image itself. Mitch has launched "Every Photo Has A Story" as a podcast based on his decades of experience in radio.
A one-in-a-million image is showcased and he shares the story of how he obtained it, and he also has other talented photographers on different episodes so you can learn from their experiences and knowledge. Mitch coined the term "Phototherapy" over 15 years ago, after seeing and feeling the power of a special image. It is no surprise to him that photos appear in hospitals, doctors' offices and other places. This is because these photos are truly inspiring for our hearts and souls. That is why Mitch created "Mitch Schlimer Artography".
The Magic Wand Foundation is one of Mitch's other meaningful ventures, which aims to empower our youth throughout the world. Mitch continues to live a meaningful life driven by the "Live To Give" mindset as he strives to empower our youth. Thus, 10% of sales of "Mitch Schlimer Artography" prints and merchandise will be donated to causes he cares about and supports.
