La Cannon apostó a caballo ganador cuando en 1987 hizo la adaptación cinematográfica de uno de los muñecos más vendidos y recordados de los 80, los de He-Man y Skeletor. El reparto de "Masters del Universo" estaba encabezado por Dolph Lundgren y Frank Langella, música de Bill Conti, es decir, apuntaba a taquillazo..., pero no. Una serie de hechos marcaron la producción y la cosa no terminó bien en taquilla afectando gravemente a la Cannon. Ésto y mucho más en el monográfico.
