Como vimos ao longo da série, precisamos pensar os ecofeminismos em sua pluralidade de expressões pois, da mesma forma como não existe uma única corrente feminista, não há tampouco um único ecofeminismo. Tendo isso em vista, a filósofa Karen J. Warren identifica na literatura ecofeminista várias interconexões entre mulheres e natureza, sendo uma delas a espiritual, para a qual as espiritualidades e os símbolos feministas são essenciais para o ecofeminismo. Por esse motivo, essa corrente é entendida como essencialista e, embora lhe sejam dirigidas críticas, Warren defende que a espiritualidade ocupa um lugar importante no ecofeminismo.
