G R A A F M A C H I N E (@graafmachine - The Hague | NL) Tyler, originally from the US, lives in The Hague and has been DJing for almost 6 years now. He fell in love with electronic music while living in Amsterdam. Tyler’s taste varies quite radically between all styles of music. Unexpected diversity in the sound is what transformed his idea of what a DJ can do, and how important creating an atmosphere can be. He’s very attracted to catchy melodies; whether they lie in a huge, spacey, synthed-out dance track, Italo with some overdriven toms, a dark disco basement jam with chopped vocals, or an obscure 80s bop that’s been reworked with some higher energy. Tyler thinks it’s an attempt to recreate that rush he felt as a teenager playing electric guitar, blowing out my amp while playing pop-punk sing-alongs in his bedroom after school. As of now Graafmachine is not part of a music collective yet and is still searching for his place in the scene on the southwest coast of The Netherlands. We’re digging his sound and are thrilled to have him play a mix for us. Especially, right now in these far from normal times it’s important to connect and listen to each other, hear what’s in our hearts and souls.
