Gender-based violence is a global phenomenon. It's reported that one in three women experiences either intimate partner violence or no-partner sexual violence in their lifetime (WHO). ‘Max’ Malefhe was shot eight times by her ex-lover. Max is a gender-based violence and disability right activist, and ex-national basketball player. She was the captain of Botswana’s first women’s national basketball team.
