Roman Alonso and his Los Angeles–based creative studio, Commune Design, have had a hand in defining what many associate with the modern California aesthetic. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Roman defined his career as a visionary creative, working across fashion, interiors, and publishing. From the time he founded his groundbreaking studio, Roman and his team have been incredibly prolific, designing textural, layered environments for hotels, restaurants, and retail and residential interiors.
