Synopsis:
Episode 17 starts off somber with the remembrance of Hip-Hop artist Earl Simmons aka the dog himself, DMX. RIP Legend. Arie gets shot (with a vaccine) while diving into adulting. Todd has an exciting life update and shares his experience at a local beer/distillery. Speaking of brews, Todd gets the Oskar Blues while Arie finds Equilibrium. In the metal world, we cover crossovers and artists branching out into new mediums! We got a great bunch of songs to go along, which are featured in our “Songs of the Week” playlist! Last but not least, our featured band from Europe released a new single that’s sure to make you bounce off the walls with their tight riff and songwriting!
Featured Band:
This week's episode features Eternal Change from Nothing Noble.
Bio:
Copenhagen-based progressive metalcore outfit NOTHING NOBLE provide neck-breaking, bouncy grooves that grow ever heavier and darker with every frustrated yell and growl from the gut of vocalist Cornelius Qvist. The quartet is now, after 3 years of intense writing, ready to release their unrelenting sophomore album "Modern Dismay".
"Modern Dismay" is an exhibition of excessively groovy and deliciously dissonant, disgusting and catchy choruses, added guest performances by prominent vocalists from the international metal scene (COUNTERPARTS, END, MØL). The album is to be released on August 6th through Prime Collective.
What the band is drinking:
Beer of choice as a band: Classic
Adam (drummer): IPA & sours
Cornelius (vocalist): Kriek / sours / heavy stouts
Lui (guitarist): Imperial stout
Uzay (bassist): Some cherry beer he tried in Belgium. He does not remember the name nor brand.

Beers fueling this week's episode include Oskar Blue Brewery's Dale's Pale Ale (Todd's pick) and Equilibrium Brewing's Energy Equals (Arie's pick.)
- Dale's Pale Ale is a trailblazer for American Pale Ales with a with a punch of hops on the front followed by well balanced malts and floral notes on the back end. Coming in off the mountain at 6.5% ABV. Oskar Blues Brewery is located in Longmont, Colorado.
- Energy Equals is an extremly juicy DIPA with some nice citrus notes in the nose, and taste, while maintaing a hop bite one might love from a DIPA. Opaque, hoppy, and flavorful beer hailing from the East Coast at 8% ABV. Equilibrium Brewery is located in Middletown, New York.
