Holger Timmreck grew up in Communist East Germany, known as the German Democratic Republic of DDR. His dream to see the world and escape became a bitter-sweet reality. Today Holger lives in Peru. Before he spent time in a maximum-security prison run by the German Secret Police Stasi after arrested trying to flee the country.
