A Photographer's Life™ interview with award-winning architecture photographer Lincoln Barbour. Lincoln is an elite architectural photographer based in Portland, Oregon, and a long-time member of The Association of Independent Architectural Photographers™ (AIAP).

In this episode's interview by AIAP director Alan Blakely, Lincoln discusses a wide range of subjects relating to his 20-year career as a commercial photographer, including:

• Lincoln's introduction to architectural photography with his mentor, the late Philip Beaurline, a professional architecture photographer from Charlottesville, Virginia.

• His early days as Philip Beaurline's assistant and his experience with large format film, film processing, film scanning and the finer points of customer service.

• Lincoln's challenges and opportunities as he started his own commercial photography business.

• Lincoln's gradual transition from general commercial photography to a more focused business of photographing architecture and interiors.

• The advantages of his background as a graphic designer, web designer and SEO specialist.

• His approach to equipment choice with regard to cameras and lenses for architecture and interiors.

• His unique and deliberate approach to lighting interiors, including his lighting and grip equipment choices.

• Lincoln's personal photography workflow from capture to delivery, including his use of Canon EOS Utility capture software, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop .
