Born and raised in the Bradford District to a conservative family and despite having a degree in Biomedical Science, Amir always aspired a career in the entertainment world. As the world was grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic, Amir found himself jobless, relying on government assistance and forced to face his ultimate truth; he was bought on this earth solely to make people laugh. A few sarees and lipsticks later, Amir has proved himself to be a versatile artist, offering varied performances in his shows including acting, singing, as well as dancing. Together with his husband, Amir also hosts a successful podcast called ‘You Don’t Love Me’. Shortlisted for a BBC New Comedy Award, the internationally renowned, comedic character of ‘Lady Bushra’ is played by Amir, amassing a social media following of over 500K across all platforms whereas his online content has been viewed over 40 million times globally.
