Season 5 Episode 12- The Leonard Peltier story and why he ought to be freed. This is important radio.
Joining us Malcolm MacKinnon Jean Roach and Chauncey Lee Peltier. Leonard is in federal prison for accessory to murder in the deaths of 2 FBI agents on Native soil in Ogala. He has been there decades. His story was the subject of a Robert Redford movie, 'Incident at Ogala'.
Malcolm is close to this story and has visited Leonard in prison. Jean was an eyewitness of the FBI shoot out incident that led to Leonard’s incarceration and currently serves on the board of the International Leonard Peltier Defense Committee and Chauncey is Leonard’s own son.
Also joining is Rev. Steven Thompson, former Executive Director of Michigan NORML, Jamie Lowell, Rick Thompson and more!
