21:38People want to feel supported and safe at work – and inspired to innovate. What can people working at large corporations do to create this kind of environment? Saskia Mureau is the Director of Customer Digital at the Port of Rotterdam where she is harnessing digital systems to reduce emissions. She is passionate about creating inclusive workplaces where psychological safety and collaboration drive meaningful change. In this episode, Kamila sits down with Suchi to talk about why she chose to work at large corporations rather than startups. Saskia also reflects on her personal experiences, including navigating IVF while at work, and discusses how organizations can foster environments where employees feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work. Support us on Patreon for higher bitrate downloads and bonus episodes. It's time to mount up and mosey on down to Wild ARMS 3 with Deputy Scott okay I'll stop the cowboy shite. We're talking the Western inspired Wild ARMS 3 this week and it's a game/soundtrack that I've loved for many years so as soon as Scott suggested it I had to get him back on. Michiko Naruke's tunes are inspired by a lot of classic westerns, naturally, but she brings such a heart to them that is as charming as the game itself and doesn't just stick to the standard sounds you'd expect from a western either. Sometimes, a game doesn’t need the backing of a popular company to be fun. It may not need crowdfunding. In fact, there are a host of games that are “inspired” by other popular games. Actually, it’s more like they borrowed from these games heavily enough to swap out things and switch certain areas, despite having some bugs that could crash the game. We’re celebrating National Bootlegger’s Day, held on January 17th, that commemorates a time with alcohol was sold illegally because of Prohibition. The word ‘bootlegger’ comes from a type of transaction in which boots were filled with flasks of alcohol and sold to Native Americans. Bootleggers or rum-runners created and sold their own personal alcoholic beverages on the side. One of the more famous bootleg liquors is Templeton Rye, a type of rye whiskey that was made in Templeton, Iowa by farmers. For this week’s episode, we’re playing tracks from video games that were bootlegged or hacked: a prehistoric family man trying to save the family pets, a fight against Reploids, and a samurai boyfriend out to save his princess girlfriend. As always, there’s covers and remixes to follow each track. Perhaps these tracks may inspire you to play some bootlegged games… Top 10 Bootleg Games/Systems Keiketsu Yancha Maru 3: Taiketsu! Rando Calrissian had just docked at the megacasino on Humora Gamma, where he’d planned on relaxing with some drinks and winning a few jackpots at the rellack table. Strange, unusual, weird… these words often describe someone who is peculiar. They are known to walk to the beat of their drum and make life abnormal, but at one time, these people were considered set apart from the rest of the crowd, as called by God. There was even a Christian movement called “The Peculiar People”, founded on two verse from the Bible, Deuteronomy 14:2 and 1 Peter 2:9. This week, we’re celebrating Peculiar People Day on January 10th, with tracks from video games with peculiar characters: a common worm turned hero, a magical glove saving the kingdom, and a slice of bread trying to get toasted. There’s also covers and remixes with each original track. Whether or not you are peculiar, today is a day to appreciate the individual nature of people who are willing to step out of the comfort zone… Track Listing “New Junk City” – [Earthworm Jim] – composed by Mark Miller “Junkit” – remixed by Tommy Tallarico Studios, Inc., from the album “Earthworm Jim Anthology” “Intro, Logos” – [Glover] – composed by Rob Lord, Paul Weir, Mark Bandola “Glover Intro Theme (KJD)” – remixed by Multiverse Productions “Kitchen Music” – [I Am Bread] – composed by Black Heron, Oliver Age 24 “I Am Bread REMIX” – remixed by Noteblock YouTube playlist Discord channel Source…
